A Few Jokes

A Miracle Transformation

An Amish boy and his father were visiting a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and back together again. The boy asked his father, "What is this, Father?" The father responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed an old lady in a wheel chair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched small circles of lights w/numbers above the walls light up. They continued to watch the circles light up in the reverse direction. The walls opened up again and a beautiful 24 year old woman stepped out.

The father said to his son, "Go get your Mother."

The Atheist Teacher
A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

      "Because I'm not an atheist."

Then, asks the teacher, "What are you?"

      "I'm a Christian."

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy why she is a Christian.

"Well, I was brought up knowing and loving Jesus. My mom is a Christian, and my dad is a Christian, so I am a Christian."

The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly.

"What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?"

She paused, and smiled. "Then," says Lucy, "I'd be an atheist."

 Kids Logic

TEACHER: George, go to the map and find North America.

      GEORGE: Here it is!

TEACHER: Correct. Now, class, who discovered America?

      CLASS: George!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

TEACHER: Willy, name one important thing we have today that we didn't have ten years ago.

      WILLY: Me!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

TEACHER: How old were you on your last birthday?

      STUDENT: Seven.

TEACHER: How old will you be on your next birthday?

      STUDENT: Nine.

      TEACHER: That's impossible.

STUDENT: No, it isn't, Teacher. I'm eight today.

God will restore.

Psalm 71:20

English Standard Version (ESV)
20 You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
    will revive me again;
from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up again.

After attending a funeral service this week, I was reminded of the point of this life, Jesus. Why did Jesus come on this Earth? To restore us,save us and make us worth something. We as Christians have the honor of being called children of God! He decides all things, like when He wants to bring us back home.
That is when we are fully restored.

Here in this moment we all need restoration. We should not have this privlage, to improve, gain, in Christ. I look at myself and think I could have done more up to this point ,but since I'm still here God has more to do with me and you! Let's not lose focus. God will restore.

Prayer Requests

Hello there! Having a bad day? Trying hard to change something?
Please I would be glad to pray for you, just comment below.

How can I pray for you?

A Little Reminder

Right now. Take a breath.

Weak THEN strong.

 2 CORINTHIANS 12:9-10

This verse took me a long time to understand. I mean weak then strong? Like cold then hot? God opened up my eyes and now it is a very powerful verse to me. It makes me be thankful for all my mistakes and other things I can't control.

weak- not strong; liable to yield, break, or collapse under pressure or strain; fragile; frail: a weak fortress; a weak spot in armor.
 strong-
mentally powerful or vigorous: He may be old, but his mind is still strong.
V.7  So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.
A  view verses before this Paul says "I do not know, God knows." How true is this! At first Paul asked God to take away his thorn, he asked 3 times. Then he learned why he had been given this thorn (most likely a physical affliction though does not say). The thorn was to keep him humble, he was being used by God greatly which could have easily been turned into pride.
God has a reason and purpose for your afflictions. Even in your struggles, trials you can rejoice! I have a friend who even prays for trials, when I heard that my eyes got Big. I still don't exactly pray for trials ,but praying for faith or growth does bring them. My attitude has made a 180 turn, I know now that God allowed these problems in my life so with His help, I can and will overcome. It's all because of God's mercy. He wants to change us and make us more like His perfect son.
How do you feel about trials? What have they taught you?

WHY?

For so long I have looked at older people around me and thought they don't deal with not knowing what to do or say because they always seem so calm, so organized. As if they have everything balance and have no questions or doubts. Trust God. Yes, I have heard that before. Recently, I started to apply it. Or at least attempting to. It's amazing how much I know that I am lost in this world ,but as I look to Jesus and obey him, I know he is leading me and I just have to follow. I have no idea why God asks me to do certain things ,but in his time I will know and I will either be happy I followed or wished I had. This life is not about knowing the answer to all of my questions ,but living for someone who died for me. I find calmness and hope in knowing that I'm not in charge, and if I fall, He is there. I'm not alone, I may be lost sometimes ,but I have the best GPS.

Hello!

Welcome!
My name is Alice and I'm in high school and I have figured out that I have so much to learn in this life. I know God is with me every step and breath. This blog will be about what God has recently opened my eyes to. I'm new to this blogging thing and I would be glad to get advice from you if something comes on your mind. Have a great day and please pray that what I write here would be filled with the Spirit. I'm looking forward to writing again. :-)
